Service description

Certline is a free, single-purpose TLS diagnostic tool. It opens a real TLS connection to a server you specify and returns the certificate that server presents — including expiry, issuer, Subject Alternative Names, and chain completeness. There is no dashboard, no accounts, no alerts, and no scheduled checks.

Use at your own risk

This tool is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. The certificate data returned is what the remote server sent at the time of the check — it may differ from what other clients see, what a browser validates, or what the server is configured to serve. You use Certline entirely at your own risk. The authors accept no liability for any decisions made based on the output of this tool.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Certline to probe servers you do not have authorisation to test. This is a diagnostic tool for operators checking their own infrastructure. Automated, bulk, or abusive scanning is prohibited.

No data storage

Certline does not store, log, or transmit any data you enter. Each check is ephemeral — once the result is delivered to your browser, it is gone. There are no accounts, no user profiles, and no persistent state.

Billing

Certline is currently free. There is no charge to use the certificate checker, no paid plan, and no billing period. Because nothing is charged, there are no failed payments to handle and no refunds to process.

No payment processor is connected, so Certline cannot take payment from you in any form today. Any checkout you may see on a future page is a demonstration only and does not charge you.

If paid plans are introduced in the future, this section will be updated with the price, the billing period, what happens on a failed payment, and the refund policy before any charge is made. Nothing will be billed until those terms are published here.

Governing law

A legal entity and jurisdiction are not yet available. Once established, this page will be updated. Until then, these terms are provided as a statement of intent, not a legally binding contract.
